Support engineering study to determine the feasibility of sharing the 1675 - 1680 MHz band between existing Federal users, including NOAA, and commercial carriers operating terrestrial Advanced Wireless Systems (AWS) such as Long Term Evolution LTE) cellular technology.
B.S. in Electrical Engineering, or other related engineering field of study or comparable work experience.
Understanding of electromagnetics, antenna theory, and RF antennas; understanding of RF propagation principles, RF engineering tools, and cellular theory; strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills; 3-5+ years as a RF engineer or related position.
Knowledge/understanding of current NOAA ground acquisition sites, GOES data distribution network, and/or GOES data users and/or products.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and able to a obtain a Public Trust Clearance
