Administer a Windows based customer-focused network to include periodic administration tasks such as backups and media marking/handling and virus scanner definition updates, on-demand helpdesk requests, account management, media uploads, end-user workstation build and deployment, end-user software upgrades and installation, server hardware maintenance and upgrades/refresh, server OS patching and major upgrades, network maintenance such as mac-filter updates, network redesign and expansion, network hardware upgrades/refresh.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, or related field
In addition to the admin tasks listed above, the position requires working with onsite security to ensure that all software is approved for use on the network and periodic upgrades to end-user software are submitted, approved, and performed in a timely manner. The candidate will be required to work with onsite security to adhere to all security controls and continuous monitoring requirements as dictated by the customer, implement any customer directives as they are received in a timely manner, perform periodic vulnerability scanning of the network, report and remediate findings as dictated by the customer, and perform periodic assessments of all security controls in place to include applied Group Policy Objects and other OS and application hardening measures.
The candidate will be required to take periodic customer training to include privileged user training. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience, certification required minimum of Security+, additional certification may be required.
The candidate should be comfortable with Powershell scripting to automate/streamline administration tasks, assist in audits, and for notification purposes. Experience with Linux-based operating systems a plus.
