Overview

Administer all aspects of a government property management system ensuring continual full life-cycle accountability of government assets in accordance with applicable government regulations and corporate policy. This includes:

  • Creating and maintaining inventories of government property, including making corrections and entering data when necessary.

  • Develops, recommends, and implements property administration policy and procedure.
  • Conducting property management process, records, and data management assessments, reporting assessment results and coordinating findings resolution.
  • Adhere to requirements driven by Federal Acquisition Regulations and Contractual inclusions for compliance.
  • Provide training on matters relating to property management.
  • Generates various reports as assigned.
  • Keeps up to date on industry best practices and most current developments in government property administration.
  • Knowledge of shipping regulations and procedures
  • Must have a general understanding of government property administration principles, theories and concepts as well as a basic understanding of property administration practices, techniques, and standards.

Qualifications

Education:

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalency required. Some college preferred. 3-5 years of government property administrative related experience. U.S. Citizenship is required.

Required Skills:

  • Solid understanding of the use of Sunflower Asset Management.
  • Have good organizational, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report and present findings.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills
  • The ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential.
  • Must possess the ability to exercise independent judgment in solving a variety of non-routine tasks and issues.
  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance is required.

 

Desired Skills:

  • 1-5 years administering Government Property Management
  • 1-5 years of related property administration experience.
  • 1-5 years working knowledge of FAR 52.245-1
