Solers provides systems and software engineering support to the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Environmental Satellite Data and Information Service (NESDIS) to ensure systems are developed, deployed, updated, and available - allowing NESDIS to fulfill its mission. As part of this support to NESDIS, Solers' team provides development and integration of satellite meteorological product generation algorithms within its Environmental Satellite Product Distribution System (ESPDS). Solers seeks experience engineers familiar with processing environmental data; including exposure to Geographic Information Systems (GIS); familiarity with UNIX and MS Windows Operating Systems; familiarity with Java and Python programming languages; and, familiarity with file types used in the environmental data processing (e.g. NetCDF, HDF5).
Bachelors degree in Computer, Meteorological or similar physical science field preferred. Experience may substitute for education.

Experience with public cloud platforms especially AWS
Experience with distributed computing technologies/methodologies
