Experience required in Government Contracts and cost accounting in all types of contracts (T&M, FFP, CP, etc.).

  • Responsible for Contract Closeout, preparation and submission of final invoices to the government and other Primes.  Validate AP, AR, incurred cost reports and indirect rate calculation.  Check and verify data for completeness and accuracy to ensure closeout documentation and packages are completed in compliance with DCMA/DCAA, FAR, general and special provisions, contractual terms and conditions and audit requirements.  Coordinate with Program Manager, Contract Manager where necessary to support in the contract closeout.
  • Perform Contract Billings
  • Perform unbilled reconciliation
  • Review and analyze all contract funding and billing vs. revenue recognition, costs, overhead and G&A burden rates to ensure all revenue and costs have been accurately accounted for and billed to the customer
  • Assist with external DCAA and financial audit requirements including preparing supporting schedules, compiling documentation, responding to questions and other requests
  • Perform various journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals for the closing cycles
  • Support special projects across the finance group


Desired Education:

Bachelors' degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance


Required Skills:

Minimum of 5 years progressive accounting/financial experience with a government contractor.  Solid understanding of government contract accounting, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA).  Experience with Deltek Costpoint and GCS Premier.  Minimum of 3 years of recent experience with Deltek Costpoint.  Proficient in MS Office to include advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
