Overview

Work with emerging service and cloud computing technologies for satellite data processing and distribution as a member of our software development/systems integration teams supporting our DoD and IC clients.  Participate in software and algorithm design, development, and integration efforts.  Develop, install and configure software components or algorithms on systems in a customer lab environment.  Work with external algorithm developers to optimize and deploy algorithms into a processing framework.

Qualifications

Desired Education:

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.

 

Required Skills:

Minimum 5-10 years software design and development experience with service-oriented architectures using JBoss or similar SOA framework, to include ESBs, SOAP web services, and JMS publish/subscribe messaging.  Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., Citrix XenServer Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, and/or VMWare).  Experience developing software on RedHat Enterprise Linux.  Able to think creatively and operate in a collaborative, fast-paced, process-oriented, deadline-driven and sometimes ambiguous environment with little supervision.  Able to express yourself confidently, concisely, and accurately through written and oral communications.

 

Desired Skills:

Experience working in a lab type environment, collaborating with external developers and integrating their components into a larger framework.  Experience with algorithm development techniques and tools, like MatLab, a plus.  Experience with GPU development or optimization a plus. Including any experience with workflow orchestration, event processing, and software integration with ESRI GeoEvent Processing.
